Tech, Fashion and Sports Merge for a unique charity experience #TheStyleGames

The Style Games™, created by Destined for Success Management (D4SM) in conjunction with Jen Abrams Style, is a hybrid competition experience for sports and fashion enthusiasts. During the unique event, Eagles’ players from both the offense and defense will face-off in a series of fashion challenges judged by an All-Star fashion and style panel. Check out which of your favorite Philadelphia Eagles will be competing this Thursday night, October 2nd. Who says fashion isn’t a sport, Eagles are you ready to compete!

Cocktails, shopping and more!

You’ll enjoy cocktails, appetizers, mingling with players, autograph signings, and of course — shopping! Each guest will receive a $50 Saks Fifth Avenue gift card. Saks associates will be on hand to share style tips and discuss the season’s trends. The evening will also include an auction for a 5-night, luxury residential package provided by G2G Collections, valued at $7500.

What to Bring: A desk lamp is important for this class. the tools you use in your salon to perform a polish, gel polish, gel nail and acrylic nail, including uv or led lamp and tips to keep your final product. You will need to bring just a few colors so you have variety. Notepads and pen.

Emmys 2014: Claire Danes

Celebrity hairstylist Peter Butler created the look for Claire Danes for tonight’s Emmys Awards using Leonor Greyl products and breaks down for us how to get the look at home:

“Claire is wearing a red, Givenchy dress tonight that it a bit low in the front with crystal dragonfly jewels around the neckline. It is such a focal point that we wanted the hair up, and since there is something romantic about the dress , I wanted to do a braid. We did a soft, low side-part, with her hair away from the face and left pieces framing her face and covering her ears.

I started with her hair damp and ran the Leonor Greyl Mousse au Lotus Volumatrice all through her hair and then blow dried it up and away from her face using a large, round brush. To give more volume and direction to the roots, I went back in with the Voluforme and sprayed it around the face and hairline while blowing it out.

Next, I pulled her hair into a low ponytail using a bungee elastic with hooks on the end to secure it in place. Then, I created a fishtail braid and pulled it out to make it a bit wider and sprayed it with a generous amount of Leonor Greyl Laque Souple to give it texture while still keeping it structured.

I pinned the fishtail braid into a low chignon which I redid three times, but the third time was the charm! I fit it until it was situated just right to exhibit the texture of the braid as strongly as possible. I made sure she was standing while I pinned the braid into place to get a better idea of what it would look like throughout the night.“

VMA 2014: Winner – Miley Cyrus

Cyrus  took home the Video of the Year award for her hit song, “Wrecking Ball and looked fabulous in her pixie cut doing it, thanks to Wella celebrity stylist Andy LeCompte (who was also busy styling winner Lorde).

Step-by-Step Styling:

  • Start with freshly washed and conditioned hair using Wella Professionals LuxeOil Keratin Protect Shampoo and Keratin Restore Mask which helps hydrate, nourish and strengthen hair
  • Prime the hair by applying 1-2 pumps of Wella Professionals LuxeOil Reconstructive Elixir to the palms of your hands and distribute evenly throughout
  • Blow dry hair in all directions and alternate using your fingertips and a small ceramic brush
  • Add a few more pumps of LuxeOil Reconstructive Elixir to your hands then begin shaping and sculpting hair into the desired look
  • Finish the look by spraying hair with Wella Professionals Light Oil Keratin Protection Spray leaving it smooth, shiny and red carpet ready
