Renee Rouleau AHA Smoothing Serum 20%
Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) is a little miracle worker, chemically exfoliating the piles of dead skin cells you’ve been collecting without shedding, and breaks up the sebaceous mess that congests your pretty little pores. AHA is so effective, people sometimes do odd things, like order it off of eBay and burn themselves past recognition with enthusiastic application. AHA is generally best applied in a pure form by a professional.

Renee Rouleau AHA Smoothing Serum (in varying percentages) puts control in the power of the product. This product is to be used overnight, 2-3 times a week without fear of dosage damage. Blended in a clear gel, it has a pleasing viscosity, allowing a pump to fully cover the face and jawline. It also manages to stay on while you sleep, penetrating and working away to clearing up the most congested of skin.
I have thicker skin that easily congests, and the 20% blend was perfect for me. A slight tingling occurred during initial applications, but has since subsided. Tingling is no indication of a product working, and if the irritation is too great you should go down in formulation. Also, if you experience no tingling at all, it is not an indication of efficacy. What you’ll find, if you’re at the right dosage, is an easy maintenance program that leads to incredibly improved texture, tone and color.
AHA can increase your sensitivity to the sun. It is very important to wear a high dose sunscreen and effective moisturizer to protect the new skin from sun damage.
