Summer/Fall 2011: Shellac Color Previews

CND has issued a preview for the six new colors: Zillionaire, Studio White, Moonlight & Roses, Purple Purple, Asphalt, Hotski to Tchotchke

These new colors up the color choice to 30, introduce a softer white, and increase layering options.  I’m thrilled with Asphalt, a common request, is now in Shellac.

This lineup will become available in September 2011. What do you think?

    i like the teal! my clients always say, wow, there’s just a lot of reds and pinks! …it gives a little variety for those clients who want fun nails! why are there only 6, though? aren’t they already way far behind?

    Formulation is individual to each color, so the process is quite a bit different. I think building a base, including a lot of blue-red and pinks is what they are doing now. Six more come out in February.

    Sorry. YUK! Come on CND! Of all the options they had?!? I think they need to focus on building a solid base of classic, wearable colors. Do that before you keep clients waiting 6 mos for… a gaudy teal? Now that they have the formula down, and a legion of devoted fans, they need to start churning out the colors. Follow the lead of OPI. They have one of the bets color ‘libraries’ in the biz. Come out with like 6-12 bridal/neutral pinks, and then move on from there.

    Hoping to find the right colors for an American manicure. Just had my nails done and we used Negligee as base coat and 2 coats of Romantique for top. It’s a little too milky pink. Do you think the the new Studio White will be the color I’m wanting for the top coat? Thanks

    Was looking forward to maybe some more vibrant orange/coral colours. Tropix is too pink for my coral lovers :o(((
