Princess Beatrice to Auction Philip Treacy Royal Wedding Hat
How sweet it is
Princess Bea’s pale pink Philip Treacy hat was the belle of the royal ball. It has garnered so much attention that the elated Princess has decided to capitalize – for a good cause. Princess Bea will auction her hat off on eBay (eBay!) with proceeds going to UNICEF and “children in crisis” charities. There was no way she could possibly wear this again, so it is a fabulous idea to really give the press a run for its money.
Would you bid? Would you wear it? I’ve always thought the hat looked like a frame for “Mirror Mirror” asking “Who’s the Fairest?” and I would find it amusing.
If you manage to get outbid on eBay, I spoke to Neiman Marcus Chicago and they still have a few Treacy hats in stock after the Derby pillage. Last I looked they ranged from $700 to over $7000. Give them a ring:
