Brittany Murphy – Should You Stay or Should You Foreclose? Stay Just a Little Bit Longer.

As if having to deal with the death of her daughter Brittany Murphy (just over a year ago), and then the death of her son-in-law Simon Monjack (nine months ago) isn’t enough, Mama Murphy (aka Sharon) is now struggling with the property the couple died in.

It’s said this house was formerly owned by Toxic singer Britney Spears. You know what else is toxic? The mold that is rumored to permeate through the home and said to have had a hand in causing the pneumonia that killed Brittany and Simon. Remember that Sharon lived there too and seems to be in fair health.  Even with suspected damage, the house was valued at over $7 million last year but holds a mortgage of $4 million. Scheduled for foreclosure auction, Sharon was granted a last minute stay so that she can try to short sell (when you sell the home for less than market value) in a matter of weeks.

That’s $3mill off of a Hollywood home kids. Tough to beat that deal, even in a recession.

Hoping a treasure hunter, fan of Brittany Murphy or someone with ties to a cleanup crew will snap this property up and let Sharon Murphy close this terribly sad and emotional chapter in her life.
