Young Nails Introduces Professional Only maniQ Colors

Eighteen maniQ colors ship January 2011
I have long been a huge fan of Young Nails’ maniQ, a soft gel that has many, many uses for the crafty nail tech. It boasts of a four week wear and had a little secret – you could mix nail polish colors to the base to get a UV cure product with color.
That bit of information was lost on most. maniQ could be as troublesome as it was wonderful. The gel was a bit rubbery and runny, and mixing colors truly an art. Instead of a bright solid color on the nail, there was more of a milky existence. Remember that green glass? Yep, that’s similar.
So it wasn’t ideal for homebrew, but guess what? Young Nails is now taking the guesswork out of the system, for the colors anyway. Launching January 2011, 18 new colors will release with the long lasting maniQ system. Young Nails promises multiple weeks of wear and 10-15 minute removal. The flexible color gel products are also available to cure with UV and/or LED lamp.
Taking a look at the colors, there still may be a bit of the milk, but I’ll hold judgement when I see the product. What do you think?
