Spring 2010 – Hottest Nail Color is…

While Turquoise will reign over all seasons in 2010, there is another contender for top nail polish spot this spring.

Like putty on your hands, the hot color for NOW was described at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week s/s 10 as “mushroom”. Chanel set the trend with Particuliere (Particular) on the heels of the matched suit mint green they debuted a season earlier.

One of the strongest trends of the season is the nude hand. Frosts are also back with a vengeance. But if you failed to pick up a bottle, this new release is already sold out. You can try getting into a bidding war on eBay for it, picking up a partner nude with Inatendru, or go precious pink with Trendresse.

Chanel’s $23 price tag a little too rich for your nails?  Sally Hansen HD made a showing on the runway at the same time, with major wow factor for 1/4 of the price. This beautiful taupe/mushroom carries all of the intrigue of a metal neutral, with bits of violet and green. Very high end look.
