ManGlaze is a Haute Mess for Pugh in Paris Fashion Week
I first interviewed Marc Paez back in May about his matte polish line, ManGlaze (listen here for the radio interview) . Relatively local, he works and ships out of Chicago, Illinois. It’s a small company that started almost as a joke, but yesterday their polish landed on the models for Gareth Pugh’s show at Paris Fashion Week. The stunning custom color, dubbed “Haute Mess” is a dark matte grey, somewhere in-between the company’s Fuggen Ugly (a stunning, green flecked grey that looks like steel or river rocks) and the signature Death Tar (matte black).
I’m not the only one impressed with the look. MAC’s Senior Makeup Artist, Victor C, included it in his overview of the show:
Gareth Pugh was BANANAS!!!! OMG!!! Blocked out brows, airbrushed them grey, metal nail polish, hoods and hair pieces! CAN I BE IN THE SHOW?
The European shows are always so experimental and fun (Viktor & Rolf, anyone?) and it must be a huge honor for Paez to see his product included. As you can see, ManGlaze compliments both male and female hand. ManGlaze Matte Nail Polish is sold primarily through the website and in select locations throughout the US and Europe.
By coincidence, I had a chance to use Fuggen Ugly yesterday. Check back for a post on a Milwaukee male pedicure (yes, it does happen!). You can purchase your own bottles of ManGlaze matte nail polish at the website, www.manglaze.com
