Return of the Bomber Jacket – Mothers Only

Today I sent my son off to school in his new bomber jacket. He is one who will always opt to be a “little more fancy” if given the opportunity. I consider myself lucky!

Back in the 80’s the Members Only Bomber jacket was THE jacket to own, and during our Back to School shopping I found a gorgeous replica by Guess. (can’t find a photo anywhere). The problem is, while son needs a jacket to transition through fall, I have no idea how long this look or the construction on the jacket would really last. And it was $70. I love that whole English Rocker thing Guess is doing for kids, but no dice.

So what did I spy as we were cruising through Target?

Distressed pleather bomber with nice detailed stitching in front and back. Good lining. Working and decorative pockets. $24.99 – and you know they go on sale. Fits beautifully and takes the outfits up a notch too.

So pleased that there is a place to find transitional clothing that keeps kids and mom happy without breaking the bank. He can pick up the Guess if he chooses when it comes back in another 20 years.
